What our Guests Say ...

June / July 2010

"Staff were most helpful, very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel was well situated and the underground link to the function area was a nice touch. The function we attended at the hotel was excellent, great food, excellent service and first class organisation."

Peter form Fleet

"The location of the hotel and the genuine friendliness of the staff made for an enjoyable stay. The 3 night break with excellent breakfasts made for good value for money."

Booking.com review

"Our stay at the hotel was very short, however we found the staff in particular Sammy, extremely helpful and accommodating. We would stay there again were we to require overnight accommodation in Ramsgate."

Maria from Manchester

"Rooms were large and spacious, clean and freshly decorated. Whilst in the bedroom the corridors were quite with little door slamming which allowed a good nights sleep as my daughter was competing in a competition the next day. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was served hot! A lovely view from the restaurant and hope to visit again. The only negative point was not enough time spent there!."

Booking.com review

"Great Hotel. Out of main town (Ramsgate) so nice and quiet but near the beach. Walk to town was about 15 minutes. The Hotel has its own Pub and Restaurant across the road but there is also another Shepherd Neame one next door that is also great, both with sea views. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was ideal. Was able to relax. Will stay again."

Neil from Kent

"Thank your for such a lovely day, you all worked so hard for us and we will always remember it, everything was just perfect. Becca hope you enjoyed the chocolates !!! x"

"Very comfortable and refurbished to a high standard. Staff very helpful, great food at the pub across the road which is owned by the hotel, access via tunnel under road, so bad weather not a problem."

Linda from Barry

"the hotel is set in a quiet location on the sea front, plenty of parking which is always good when staying away on business as you never know what time you will be checking in. As a female staying alone the security was excellent and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all."

Julie from Rochester

"Hotel was fantastic value for money. Staff were very pleasant, taking us to our room and showing us the fire exit etc. rooms have been refurbished, very spacious, and bathrooms well fitted out. Shower very hot in the morning! Breakfast had a good range, was cooked to order and was very tasty"

Anon from UK

"An overnight stay with our Christmas function being held in the hotel too. So impressed from start to finish. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were very pretty and clean, as was everywhere else in the hotel. Considering the fact that the evening functions were full to capacity, yet still everything was perfect. Good food, good atmosphere and lovely surroundings. Great value for money. Thank you especially to the waitress staff who did an excellent job during the functions, attending to so many people with a smile on their faces and were back in on duty the following morning for breakfast duty, how good is that?!"

Trip advisor review

"The only regret I had is that we only booked 1 night! On arrival we were met by Donna who was extremely friendly & helpful. She very kindly showed us to our room which is quite unusual as you are normally just given directions. The shower was excellent and as for the bed, well I nearly never made breakfast! The breakfast choice was great, their cooked breakfast was really tasty & again the staff were very friendly and helpful. One other thing I was impressed with was the security. Guests could only access corridors to their own rooms via a key card which stops people wondering around unnecessarily disturbing other guests. All in all it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay"

"good location & ample parking together with good food, drink & friendly locals. all in all and enjoyable stay"

Barry, Scunthorpe

"close to Ramsgate & the sandy beach. We had a room with a sea view & could hear it all night which was lovely. Breakfast was very good."

Sabina, London

"What a fantastic hotel!!!!! clean, quiet and friendly. With the public bar across the street it was an added bonus of not having to mingle with the wedding party that was taking place. The staff were brilliant, especially Donna, who was a barrel full of knowledge."

"The Receptionist was superb - happy, helpful, welcoming, efficient....and even showed us to our room and explained everything, including the Fire Drill. The room was small but equipped with everything one could possibly want. The breakfast was excellent and the Staff so pleasant, efficient and helpful. We have experienced very few hotels (even 5 star) who had such a high quality of Staff. "

Stephen, High Wycombe

"I cannot recommend this hotel enough, we stayed for four nights and the whole stay was an absolute pleasure...from check in to check out the staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. The room itself was spacious well appointed and absolutely spotless! Fantastic seaview ,huge wall mounted flat screen TV, very comfortable King size leather bed, lovely bathroom which was once again spotless, lots of storage, free WI-FI access which was essential for us to run our business whilst we were away.As I said at the start I cannot recommend this hotel enough, We have already booked to come back for a week at Christmas. We have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the UK and paid £250 per night for some of them but I can honestly say that this hotel is just as good if not better than most of them."

"The fact that the place was excellently refurbished 2 years ago was clearly evident, and it would be nice to think that it would remain in such a highly decorative order in future, and not let it deteriorate as time passes. Also there was a lift !!! which was a bonus. Cannot recommend it highly enough."

" The staff were helpful and friendly. Made a fuss of my mum who celebrated her birthday during our stay"

"It was your second visit because we enjoyed the first one so much .The staff are so welcoming without being over the top and breakfast has a good range including vegetarian. "

"My wife and I were delighted with our stay. The staff were outstanding, cheerful and obliging. We could not have asked for more."

August 2009

"The staff were so welcoming; we had a lovely lunch before the wedding on the deck and breakfast the next morning was great value and served hot. It was the best hotel I stayed in all trip and I was away for 4 weeks. As a comparison to the Radisson I stayed at in Gloucester Road, I would have swapped Pegwell Bay any time for the 6 disappointing nights I stayed in West London! "
